Julie Zhan Instagram – I’ve only ever known 1 mode: work really hard. But for the past 3 years, I’ve been running on a low/empty artistic fuel tank. I never listened to my body when it needed to rest; never listened to my own needs and intuitions because I was too busy listening to everyone else; proving to the world that I am valuable. I placed my worth in the approval of Hollywood and started losing my own voice. I have so many ideas I want to create, and I’ll never stop creating—but right now, I’m untethering my self worth from my career, the approval of others, number of bookings, and the admirable Asian work ethic with which I’ve defined myself. Right now, I’m just going to BE. Because I am enough just being the full expression of my life force. That’s it.
