For 118 Days members of SAG-AFTRA, along with the continued support and solidarity of our sister unions, held the line. For the majority of that time I was stationed at Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. For soooooo many of those days I arrived at 7:30a to meet my fellow Strike Captains and staff where we unloaded the van, set up tents and provisions, put out the signs and… moved out the cones. The simple orange pieces of plastic connected by bright yellow tape that protected the simple picketer. I know there will be so much more to say in the coming days and weeks. But today I again started this NEW DAY by returning to Disney at 7:30. The streets were still. The lines were empty. And where the cones were still holding watch, waiting to protect the picketer, the picketer who need not return after a combined total of 192 days. They did us well | Posted on 10/Nov/2023 04:50:24
