I thrifted this mirrored, open top display case at a thrift store for $7. It immediately looked like it would make a cool terrarium.
I had an old, fake plant from @target. So, I used that as a structure to place everything around.
Everything else you see was from @joann_stores.
They have a whole section of faux flowers and plants (most of these came from the clearance section/ $1.50 a plant). I also bought some bags of preserved moss. I put the green scrap fabric at the base in the beginning because I figured I’d have to use less moss if it wasn’t just one flat surface.
And, then I found these submersible LED lights (which are probably meant for wedding centerpieces) from @amazon. I can change the color and turn them on/off individually.
So, my fake terrarium also became a little night light.
I might eventually top this with a piece of glass so I can also use it as a small shelf for things. TBD!
