• Focaccia Recipe • The night before: – 2.5 cups of warm water – 2 1/4 tsp yeast – 2 1/4 tsp salt – 1tsp sugar – 4 1/4 cup flour mix together in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and put in refrigerator overnight Next day: – punch, deflate and scoop around the bowl to turn flour more into a loose ball. – cover with a tea towel or plastic wrap and let it rest for a few hours – pour into a baking pan, spritz with a little olive oil, use your fingers to push the dough out towards the sides and cover with a tea towel (for as long as it takes oven to heat up) – preheat oven to 425 degrees Right before baking: – remove tea towel – pour olive oil generously over the dough (imagine yourself as the lead in some movie about a chef making decadent food and let your heart lead the way) – dimple the dough – add your seasonings. I use Italian seasoning, rosemary, thyme. I also add sliced onions or shallots and top it with whatever fancy salt I have. Bake for 35-40 minutes. It should be golden, crispy on top but have a little squish when you push down on the top. Let the bread rest for 15 minutes and enjoy!

mini thrift/creative project: I thrifted this mirrored, open top display case at a thrift store for $7. It immediately looked like it would make a cool terrarium. I had an old, fake plant from @target. So, I used that as a structure to place everything around. Everything else you see was from @joann_stores. They have a whole section of faux flowers and plants (most of these came from the clearance section/ $1.50 a plant). I also bought some bags of preserved moss. I put the green scrap fabric at the base in the beginning because I figured I’d have to use less moss if it wasn’t just one flat surface. And, then I found these submersible LED lights (which are probably meant for wedding centerpieces) from @amazon. I can change the color and turn them on/off individually. So, my fake terrarium also became a little night light. I might eventually top this with a piece of glass so I can also use it as a small shelf for things.
