I first met @mcnavia a year ago at the Humans to Mars Summit and during that brief interaction we had a great conversation so when I was headed to her stomping grounds (NYC), I was thrilled that we could meet up for dinner. We have so much in common that we talked for hours. I have been a #Trekkie my whole life and it’s one of the reason why I wanted to be an astronaut. Science fiction enables us to imagine a world filled with adventure, hope, and new technologies that eventually become science reality. I was selected for @inspiration4 because I wrote a poem called #Space2inspire where I talk about creating a #JEDIspace – a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive space for all of humanity. it may be a #StarWars acronym but it is totally a #StarTrek meaning from being a life-long Trekkie.
