Michelle Clunie Instagram – I am honored to have been asked to read the poem THE MIXNER TREE by Mary Louise Oates at David Benjamin Mixner’s funeral Monday, March 24. It was a gorgeous service. Governor Murphy of New Jersey gave the eulogy. President Biden and President Clinton sent letters to be read, thanking David for his service and for fighting for democracy, freedom and human rights. There was so much love in the room. Once again, in David Mixner fashion, he brought everyone together. I saw friends I had been in the trenches of fighting for equal rights with for over two decades. It was simply an absolute love festival honoring a great Man, who was a friend to all of us. I love you, El Papa Grande.
