The true engine of the studio is espresso. In a city that is rarely silent (props to whoever was driving by for their impeccable horn timing), Sarah Morris’s works begin from her walks through the streets. “Scouts” as she calls them. Then like an engineer laying out a mechanical plan, her ideas become dots and colors planes until they map out physical reality—spiderwebs and pinecones and all.
