Camouflage, one of nature’s greatest weapons.
This is a Brown Creeper, a tiny bird barely the size of a mouse, who prefers to spend their days hopping up and down old conifers, picking spiders and insects out of bark furrows. They like to hop up a few feet, do aerial backflips down to the bottom of the trunk, and make their way up again. They’re so fun to watch.
