Zali Stegall Instagram – Back in parliament. Big week ahead debating the Government’s Nature Positive bills. Sadly they don’t go far enough. I have sensible amendments and will be meeting with the Minister today to discuss them. We are in a vital decade to better protect our environment and need stronger legislation. I am also wearing my stripes for climate action as the World is heating up at an alarming rate. Strong climate pollution mitigation policy is vital. That means a strong 2035 emissions reduction target and plans for every sector to decarbonise asap. The Coalition does not have a climate mitigation policy, is simply ignoring the growing risks from climate change and wants to further delay action. We need mature and detailed policy.
