Billy Eichner Instagram – It was one of the biggest honors of my life to give the graduation speech at @northwesternu this year – specifically the School of Communication- which I graduated from as a theater major 25 years ago. (!!!) Northwestern is one of my favorite places in the world. I cannot imagine my life personally or professionally without having gone there. The friends I made there – not to mention my acting teacher, the glorious and beloved MARY POOLE – changed my life for the better in just about every way and I underestimated how emotional it would be to return to campus and speak to the graduating seniors. I love Northwestern and the friends I made there very much. Thank you to everyone who made it happen, especially Dean Johnson, and graduating senior @orlylewittes who gave me a truly hilarious introduction. And thanks always to Mary Poole, who retired from teaching but came to watch my speech and made me cry in the best possible way (Mary’s with me in the last few photos).
