I knew that living with secrets was hurting me and eventually everybody I loved.
What I didn’t know is the insidious mental damage it does to a person when they hold things, battle in isolation, live with active lies, refuse to talk about or share their real feelings. This is common among humans but even more pronounced with Men.
A great place to start taking inventory, is to shine some light on a dark area of your life with somebody you trust. When I finally did that because I really had no choice, I became aware of addictive patterns, manipulative behavior and negative thought anchors that enabled those patterns that I was blind too.
I also found that with honesty there was hope for me! And that’s true for anybody.
If you are struggling in silence today, reach out to somebody! It’s often the first step to real freedom…
Gods plan is freedom, not a lifetime of mental bondage.
