Charlie Barnett Instagram – So incredibly proud of my BIG sister Annie Barnett, for sharing her story and experience with our hometown community and the world! (Link to full story in bio) I have to admit I have a complicated relationship with social media. I decided to take time away from the platform. But my personal feelings towards social media doesn’t take away from the 100 billion percent support I have towards this vital movement! I concentrated on having tough conversations with family, and friends directly. I thought my silence on social media would make more space for the voices that were RISING UP. I was mistaken in thinking I could JUST use my voice thru conversation, marching and quarantine safe, but direct interaction. As important as that still is…thru getting back on to this platform today I’ve realized how wrong I was! I’m so blown away by the powerful movement happening here as well. A movement outside of the streets and directly into all our pockets. With all our health still a major concern I think the power of this platform has helped in so many ways. I still have many personal issues with social media, but I will do my best to re-evaluate my social media relationship and continue that conversation here!
