Hell of a ride. I had a personal theory and wanted to see if, with sheer grit and determination, it would prove. It did. So that’s me for now. Thank you Australia for supporting me every step. To my coaches and support staff. To my family and loved ones. To my sponsors in @speedo, @myer & @omega. And finally, to the sport of swimming for saving my life, and making me who I am.
All you can do is everything you can to take what you’ve been given as far as you can take it. You owe yourself the honour of cultivating your talents with as much fervour and intensity as you can. The privilege of becoming what you’re capable of becoming. I left nothing to the unknown these past 4 years and I can now rest knowing I put my pedal to the floor every day and covered every other little detail to take this as far it could go and it sure went a hell of a ways. I made sure I was a gangster in my training, meticulous in my preparation and fearless in my competing every step of the way. I’m grateful for a huge run in the short amount of time I have been a professional athlete and I wouldn’t trade a moment. I promise I will never stop trying to do special things with my life. Shoot for the moon.. land among the stars. My shot has landed me in a constellation of stars otherwise known as that elusive club, the Australian Swim Team, forever. Thank you swimming. – Australian Dolphin #838
Athens World Cup 🥈 Cool night racing some incredible fellas. Garnering experience on the international stage and my first time on a podium. Finding some flow and was able to hit my fastest unshaved/unrested 100m butterfly of my career so far, only a few tenths off of my best.
The Athens World Cup comes to a close. Walking away with a 100m fly podium and my first 48 100m freestyle. Incremental improvements, however infinitesimal, are satisfactory in swimming. Man Greece! I’ve long been inspired by Greek mythology in my work and life! A bust of Apollo is tattooed on my right arm, god of light, music, poetry, knowledge. The trident of Poseidon on my left. To compete in and explore the lands of origin this week has been enlightening. To Budapest now for the final competition of this series. Athens, Greece

My aquatic meditations are out now on @audible’s ‘Sleep Sound’ series. All read by me to help you drift off. Only on Audible.
I just dropped my very own ‘Sleep Sound’ episodes with @audible. I use podcasts and sleep stories to wind down after hard swimming sessions. I’m stoked to release my own. Aquatic themed imagery and soundscapes narrated by me. I call them the ‘swim meditations’. Enjoy.
