Costa Georgiadis Instagram – Plant Sale alert @botanicsydney Okay bargain hunters of Sydney here is your chance to enjoy a visit to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and at the same time come away with a few plants and the knowledge that the small price paid is helping to support the friends of the Botanic Gardens to continue with their volunteer work. Every 18 months to 2 years the vertical garden display in the Calyx is changed and many of the plants are sold off to the public. It’s actually a great opportunity to get a little bit of a behind-the-scenes look at the structure of the vertical gardens and how they work. And if that isn’t enough there’s plenty of great flowering going on in the gardens particularly a seasonal chance for you to check out the flowering cherry trees not far from the Calyx.
