David Göttler Instagram – Day 1 – @tiphaineduperier , #Boris and I knew we needed a cold clear night for the lower part of the route to freeze so we could have nice firm, snow and no rockfall. The first hour was pretty perfect, but then a random thunderstorm came in making us doubt our chances. Nonetheless we kept going and it paid off. The storm blew through and we made it up to our first camp at 6000m on the ridge in near perfect snow conditions albeit peppered with a bit of thunder and lightning and snow showers 😬.
