There, we said it. Not making assumptions is difficult because as humans, they come so naturally to us. As @donmiguelruiz explains:
“Humans have a need to explain and justify everything; we have a need for knowledge, and we make assumptions to fulfill our need to know…If we just ask questions, we won’t have to make assumptions.”
Here’s a challenge and a half for this week:
First, how many times do you catch yourself making a snap judgement (aka assumption) without all the facts?
Second (and this is the “and a half” part), what questions could you ask to create clarity to replace the assumption?
