Eureka O’Hara Instagram – I’m realizing that even though I’ve been Trans my whole life, presented as such from 18-23. The hardest part has been living up to societies idea of what a woman looks like. I’m really good at putting the work in with makeup and style but when it’s all stripped away and I step out of the shower I still see David. I’ve not had time to develop my transition or have my desired modifications which makes me fucking terrified to share the image I currently see in the mirror.

However this is step one of me being honest and hopefully, overtime I’ll feel more comfortable. It’s crazy because I want to work hard on acting and I don’t mind playing male or female roles. Yet in my everyday life, I’m a woman! And I want to be seen as such. I want to be seen as who I am.

With all of the bills being proposed in more than 45 states, it’s hard to not feel scared. While I personally am in a safe space, there are thousands of adult and youth trans / non-binary individuals that are not. We must continue to fight against this injustice towards our community.
