Working with the dancers on ‘The Hollowman Come’ video was a mad trip. I don’t get to surround myself with the dance world often. Watching the way they approach their work was inspiring to watch. Having them throw their bodies into interpreting what I had written was just mad. No idea was a bad idea. The word ‘no’ or hmm? not allowed in the room. They investigate everything, then filter those ideas as quickly as they are conceived. Having to come up with synchronized routines and concepts to the brief that we gave them.. on the spot.. moments before a take.. was crazy. Loved it. Fun fact – the choreographer for this video was the brilliant Danny Ezralow who choreographed ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. Was a beautiful thing to catch up with him after all this time and have him come help me out.
