“I use to be so careless with my father’s time” This one hit really close to home for me… As someone who lost my dad way too soon and at many moments took my time with him for granted thinking I would have my whole life with him…words cannot express begin how much I miss him and the disappointment I harbour in myself for feeling like I let him down towards the end. Like anyone, he had his personal flaws… but he was a damn good DAD, and he laid the blueprint on how to be a great father. I certainly have him to thank for being that exemplary role model on how to be there for my kids today, so thank you dad. Father Time out now working through pain the best way I know how by putting it into my songs, my dad put everything he had into my dreams of being a musician, I never truly appreciated how much time effort and love he gave to helping me hone my gifts, the same gifts he passed down to me. so for this father’s day Id like to dedicate this song to him, as long as there’s air in my lungs i’ll be singing for you papa. furthermore I’ve received countless dms asking about “Remember Me” the night he passed I asked for it to be taken down.. I couldn’t stomach it.. but i remember in one of our conversations he told me he wasn’t mad at all and he encouraged me to express any and every feeling in my music regardless of how others may feel about it including himself and that it would only make me a better artist if I was brave enough to be honest.. So i’ve decided to return “Remember Me” to all platforms. Lastly I encourage everyone to remind your parents that you love them.. time is so short.. and you may never have that luxury again. and for those experiencing the same pain, do not worry for father time will heal us all ❤️
