People around me thinking I was holding an oat flat white.. Little did they know. This was one of the most tense journeys of my life trying to use my lax arms as some sort of makeshift suspension for the egg on bumpy roads and rails. Every pot hole had my heart in my throat because apparently the air sack can become dislodged and then it’s game over (yes, I’ve been doing a lot of reading!) After just a couple of days in the incubator I should be able to show you inside the egg with a light shining through the bottom. If there is an embryo, we will see it! 🦆❤️🐣

The noises made by an airplane during landing can FREAK some people out. Rest assured they all have an important (and fascinating) function! I also want to say a massive thank you to all who shared their stories of fear of flying and how the last video about takeoff noises helped them. It means the world to me that simply talking about my passion can benefit others and their mental health 🫶 I’ll be making more aviation reels in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled. What’s the quack!? You can’t see it from the video, but the egg was about three feet away from a busy footpath and car park! From past experience breeding birds, I know once an egg is laid, the mama can’t move it somewhere else to start brooding – the spot where it pops out of her is pretty much where it’ll stay so this little egg would have no chance of survival 🙁 I’m guessing it was a young female with little experience. Loads of eggs from young birds aren’t even fertile but it deserves a chance at life before going back into the wild if it hatches. I’ll post updates soon 🐣

For the record, I adored almost all of my teachers, but the recurring comments of “lack of focus” and “lost potential” on every school report makes me wish I could go back and tell them WHY I’m like that. I knew it would be a challenge, but I had no idea it’d be THIS hard to make two pets I love so much, love each other! Two months in and the change is incredible. Apart from all of the helpful advice I found online like using cat calming pheromone diffusers and shared play, kitty psychology and positive reinforcement has been my biggest secret weapon to make Luca and Claire tolerate and, dare I say it, enjoy each other’s company. Meal times and surprise midday treats have been a core part of this with an offering from their servant (me) that was proper delish.. Their all time fave @lilyskitchenpetfood shredded fillets did the trick. We have our fingers and paws crossed that the bonding continues. My dream is to see them napping together and grooming each other. Send purrrsitive vibes please 🙏🐱 #ad #catsofinstagram #cats
