Riyadh Khalaf Instagram – What’s the quack!? You can’t see it from the video, but the egg was about three feet away from a busy footpath and car park! From past experience breeding birds, I know once an egg is laid, the mama can’t move it somewhere else to start brooding – the spot where it pops out of her is pretty much where it’ll stay so this little egg would have no chance of survival 🙁 I’m guessing it was a young female with little experience. Loads of eggs from young birds aren’t even fertile but it deserves a chance at life before going back into the wild if it hatches. I’ll post updates soon 🐣 | Posted on 02/Jul/2024 00:02:09
