Sam Dede Instagram – An extremely resounding component of Bob Marley’s music – indeed, Reggae music, is the Bassline. One man completely radicalised the form, texture and feel of bass in Reggae music, especially the Roots and Culture sub genre. An original member of The Wailers, his incredibly unique use of the Bass Guitar clustered and harmonized every single instrument and rhythms into one melodious Nyabinghi family. Just one more reason why he was fondly called, “Family Man”.
The Bassline will always reverberate in our subconscious……
