Sasha Kapadya Instagram – i’d like to share with you a very important recent achievement of mine! recently i got invited to a political standup show by @hotmess.comedy where you should preapare a monologue about topical events. so i decided to read some translated versions of russian news articles about me and translate my bit where i make an official statement addressed to people of my small hometown pavlovsk. but what i didn’t know was that there would be a second half of the show where we all should improvise in english about current news 😱 i got really scared because improvisation is one of my favourite things when i perform in russian but i don’t feel fluent enough to improvise in english, so i was preparing for a disaster! but it went unexpectedly well! i managed to improvise even some good jokes! at some points i felt dumb but after the show everybody was complimenting my improvisation monologue! also i got paid 😍 i’m very happy it’s very important for me and my confidence onstage in english!
p.s.: by the way it’s wrong pavlovsk on the slide (that one is near saint-petersburg and mine is near voronezh) but people always mess them up so it was fine 🤭 even cute familiar from my previous life | Posted on 04/Aug/2023 20:48:24
