Scott Porter Instagram – “The Unlikely Adventures of Mabel Jones” may be my favorite book I have read to my kids. And, let me tell you, I have read A LOT of books to my kids. Most of them picked up at thrift shops or used book stores. This one for .99¢.
The nostalgia of books and films I read during my childhood flooded back to me while I recited this to my children, and @will_mabbitt ‘s very unique delivery also brought to mind my favorite comics and cartoons as well.
Adventure, laughter, pirates, ghosts, more laughter, picking noses, escapes, and the high seas of a foreign world await those brave enough to pick it up.
I HIGHLY recommend it to folks with kids over the age of six (mine are 6 and 8). It has all the emotions we shouldn’t be scared to share with our kids and we absolutely loved it.
