Last weekend, Kelsey ran a 15k as part of prep to run a half-marathon this winter. I don’t know how she finds the time and drive with all she does, but she makes it happen. Going in she said, “I just wanna finish”…but she did WAY more. Not only did she finish, she was the first women to complete the race! She won the whole dang thang while our littles cheered her on. And she finished with our buddy who was the first man to cross the line! I know I haven’t been around IG in a bit, and it’s felt pretty good TBH, but I was too proud not to share this, especially on a #WCW. ❤️ 💪

“The Unlikely Adventures of Mabel Jones” may be my favorite book I have read to my kids. And, let me tell you, I have read A LOT of books to my kids. Most of them picked up at thrift shops or used book stores. This one for .99¢. The nostalgia of books and films I read during my childhood flooded back to me while I recited this to my children, and @will_mabbitt ‘s very unique delivery also brought to mind my favorite comics and cartoons as well. Adventure, laughter, pirates, ghosts, more laughter, picking noses, escapes, and the high seas of a foreign world await those brave enough to pick it up. I HIGHLY recommend it to folks with kids over the age of six (mine are 6 and 8). It has all the emotions we shouldn’t be scared to share with our kids and we absolutely loved it. Oh. And I’ll be ordering a new, full-priced, copy of it (and the sequels) for our family to keep while passing this gem off to another family.
