Time to upgrade your Hip Flexor Stretch!
In truth, this is hardly a hip flexor stretch. Similar set up, but this ✅ checks off wayyyy more boxes! So a lot more ROI on the time spent!
First, engaging the glute actively to drive the “stretch” on the front side is a bigger ROI! In contrast to just passively hanging out on the hip flexor, this drill helps improve length tension relationships front to back!
After all, What good is hip extension if you can’t use it?
The lift off aspect challenges deep hip flexor strength and control which for many, is the reason they have “tight” hip flexors to begin with.
Lastly, Sean is learning how to disassociate not only his hips from his spine, but also his R hip from L hip!
This dude has made huge strides with his health and fitness the past 6 weeks. The amount of discipline and dedication is admirable, but it amazes me how high performing people can just “flip the switch”
