Anyway, I’m on LOT, the Polish airline, headed east on an exciting (for me at least) adventure. The President’s Office in Ukraine asked if I might undertake hosting duties for a summit on mental health being held in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital. I’m on my way there now by various means that I shan’t elaborate on. A great honour to be asked and, in my view, holding such a summit reflects extraordinarily well on the openness, as well as the good sense, of the Ukrainian government. Not a propaganda stunt at all, but a real bringing together of neurologists, social scientists, psychology and those working in mental health trauma.
