After spending the better part of last week investigating thoroughly and bombarding my music distributor with evidence I found of the existence of AI playlists targeting artists’ music on Spotify and proof that my songs that were compromised were not as a result of my actions, but that of rampant bots, my appeal was reconsidered and my album was reinstated through them.
While I am happy for this victory it doesn’t end here. I am urging them to provide affected artists, whose music were also taken down, with an official appeal path. I am urging them to rethink their policies on the matter so that we can feel safe again with our music on streaming platforms in this new AI driven world.
