I’m very adamant about mixing my own vocals; I very rarely let others do. When I record and layer my voice, I already have a vision in mind, so I balance things out as I go. And so when someone else comes in and throws off that intricate structure, it usually won’t sit well in my mind. In June I released my EP, ‘The Emancipation of Eze’, a 10-track project that dove into what freedom means to me, particularly relating to my mental health and my experience in the music industry. And reception to it was heartwarming; seeing people not just like the music but relate to it, in their own ways, gave me a new sense of confidence.
