This is how you can claim-
1. Log in to the EPFO portal with your UAN and password.
2. Go to ‘Online Services’ and select ‘Claim’.
3. Verify personal details displayed.
4. Proceed for Online Claim and choose ‘PF Advance (Form 31)’.
5. Select advance reasons, enter address, and amount.
6. Sign disclosure, select ‘Get Aadhaar OTP’, enter OTP, validate, and submit Claim Form.
For every claim reason say housing, marriage, medical, education, there will be limit, up to which you can make the withdrawal.
Claims that aren’t validated by the system aren’t returned or rejected outright. Instead, they undergo a second level of scrutiny and approvals for further processing.
Note: Withdrawals from an EPF account are tax-exempt if made for specific purposes allowed under the EPF scheme (e.g., marriage, building a house)
