Me just being. This is of my most recent #headshots. It’s funny, when I was younger I thought my natural hair was so ugly and that to look good I had to curl or flat iron it. I also dyed it for a few years. Now I look back and am like what was I thinking?! I love my hair as it is! Do you guys have anything you used to not like about yourselves that now you love? What is it? I want to hear!!! 💛🤗💃#wavyhair #virginhair #embraceyourself #actorheadshot #justbe @theactorheadshot
From hanging with the #bluefootedbooby to walking through an otherworldly #lavafield. @alecamachogalapagos was an incredible guide on our @galapagosisland tour! Also, I did eat the larva bug 😝 and it turned out to be tasty!

Soccer Mom Commercial Chic. Another one of my amazing new #headshots by @theactorheadshot
Despite most non-industry people I meet thinking I must be rich because I’m on tv 🤣… The truth is, 98% of us don’t get paid enough to live from our acting work. So, we almost all have second jobs. I may easily spend 10-20hrs a week learning and taping auditions, for free, because I love it. And I’m grateful, successful, and one of the really lucky ones to then get hopefully ONE job every few months when I’m rocking it! And, that job is usually a union minimum job. If the union didn’t exist, every acting job until someone got super famous would probably be free, “for credit” or “for exposure” despite our years of skill and talent. When I book a job, whether I have one line or a huge monologue, I get paid per time spent on set for, which ranges from one day to two weeks. And I am so grateful to the union that there is a union minimum and that I have a pension and protections on set and that they help me get paid fairly. If the project does well, I may get lucky and get some good residuals… but if it is a streaming project, those residuals will be much smaller than a network TV job. MUCH Smaller. That means booking something on HBO pays a lot less for most actors than booking something on ABC really for no reason at this point. And now, most jobs are streaming versus network. I have a lot of working actor friends… truthfully, NONE of us can rely on acting to support us. For pretty much all of us, it is some good extra money until you book something like a series regular, but even that, only a series regular on a show that actually lasts and ups your fame enough to continue to get great jobs. We are highly skilled and great at what we do. And, we do it because we love it and are passionate about it. And, what we do is also extremely VALUABLE. We deserve to have a better CHANCE at being able to make a living acting. Let’s bring it on #sagaftra, so we don’t have to have second jobs in the future!
Feeling super blessed to be on set today and to top it off, I’m getting to work with this awesome guy! @matthew.cornwell

We aren’t back to work YET… but the weather is nice, the air is fresh, and I’m glad to be alive. #sagaftrastrong
You GUYS! #LastVegas is on Netflix, and it was in the top ten for a few days- I can only just now post about it 🤗 #lastvegasmovie
Me putting a chip clip on my shirt thinking no one would be taking a picture of my back… thanks for the pic @bridgitc_thatmakeupchick! 🤣 #sagaftrastrong #solidarity #weareone #sagaftrarally #actorwardrobehacks Yes I put it on before I left the house #noshame
I always try to focus on the wins. Sometimes it is hard. Sometimes you get close to something really amazing and then don’t get it and it hurts because you let yourself really want that thing and imagine that perhaps it could actually be yours… and you can choose to be upset about not getting it… OR, you can CELEBRATE that you got close enough to care, and know that means you’re in the game and that something else will be coming your way because you must be doing some great work! This business, this world, can drag you down if you focus on the negatives- as I heard #JaimeKernLima say in a talk, “Stack your proof, not your doubt.” So I try to remember that. And, all this to say, ya’ll, I got close to a really cool acting job and even though I didn’t get it, it feels good to be at this level of the game! Photo credit: @mwdirector Also, a huge THANK YOU to him for these gorg photos as well as the lovely @annunziataactor for her help! Can’t wait to share more soon!
I was snapping some possible wardrobe option shots for this short comedy thing I’m taping with a couple friends tomorrow and Biscuit decided to be the cutest photobomb ever! 💛🐶 Thank you @dieabeticrage for inviting me to play 🤗 FYI, it’s a Sag-Aftra shoot even though I think there’s only gonna be like 3 of us, cause my friends are awesome. #unionstrong
In between somber #sagaftra strike posts, I thought I might start adding some inspiring #actorstips and things like that. I might have made it a silly challenge for myself to see how many creative ways I can enter frame 🤣 #actingcoach #acting #liftup
I was so honored to give a workshop at the @getscenestudios Southeast Actor’s conference this weekend! I think it has probably been since before the pandemic that I got to be on an actual live stage in front of people… what a well done event and great experience! I hope everyone at my workshop was able to take some good nuggets out of it 🤗💛✨
Thank you lawd!!! Let’s celebrate! 🙌💃
In general, this #actortip is really just all about being super prepared by making sure all of your technical things are working BEFORE any live audition you may have over the internet. For me, it was not being able to hear the CD, but for someone else it might be feedback issues or any number of other technical things. Headphones can help prevent a fair amount of sound issues and I’m guessing is probably way less distracting for the creatives on the other side than your sound not working. So, hopefully you’ll learn from me and not make the same mistake I did!!! Sending you all love and lots of success!
I can’t figure out how to have IG show a different frame, so no more entrances for now LOL. Hope you enjoy this #actortip today! Living over lines 💛 if you want to study with me, I teach privates over zoom and classes in person at Drama Inc. In Atlanta 🎭
Welcome back to my #actortips Tuesdays 😊. I got a little more detailed this week! Regarding my example- I made it up- because of the strike no actual written works will be used, so I apologize for my lack of writing skills LOL. Regardless, I hope you enjoy! Please let me know your thoughts too! Helpful/not helpful? Too confusing? Should it be shorter? I’m open to suggestions! I was going to do an acting work Wednesday as well with pieces of scenes and self tapes, but that will be on hold until this strike ends. Sending you all love and I’m looking forward to your feedback! #funwaystoenterframe
New #actortip today! This tip makes me think of one of my favorite movie moments of all time, “just breathe”. Comment if you know what moment in what movie I’m talking about!
Thrift shopping at the fancy thrift outlet shop!
Throwback to that time when I got to take a photo with a #penguin in the #galapagos photo credit @alecamachogalapagos Nature is a salve to the soul. Too bad every time I go outside in GA right now I just get swarmed by mosquitoes 🤣😭
This tip is true in lots of circumstances! Hope you enjoy! I teach in person at Drama Inc. As well as offer private coaching. Lots of love and remember NOW is the time to train while this strike is going on! Creativity is not on strike 💛🤗
It is always bittersweet on the last day of my Emotional Access class! I love seeing how my students have grown, but I’ve also gotten to know them and am going to miss them! You guys were amazing!!! @dramaincatl
