April Billingsley Instagram – I always try to focus on the wins. Sometimes it is hard. Sometimes you get close to something really amazing and then don’t get it and it hurts because you let yourself really want that thing and imagine that perhaps it could actually be yours… and you can choose to be upset about not getting it… OR, you can CELEBRATE that you got close enough to care, and know that means you’re in the game and that something else will be coming your way because you must be doing some great work! This business, this world, can drag you down if you focus on the negatives- as I heard #JaimeKernLima say in a talk, “Stack your proof, not your doubt.” So I try to remember that. And, all this to say, ya’ll, I got close to a really cool acting job and even though I didn’t get it, it feels good to be at this level of the game!
