Last December, Julie Burchill made defamatory, racist and misogynist comments about me. After legal action, she has apologised in full for these untrue and abusive statements.
It feels so good to finally lift the lid on what went on. The abuse and harassment was incessant, and it had a really severe impact on my mental health. But that doesn’t make me – or anyone else – weak. It makes us human. Nobody can, and nobody should, put up with that level of violent speech and rhetoric.
