Thank you so much for your messages of support and kind words about last night. The event was fabulous and #Hallmark had some big announcements. Huge thanks to all the Hallmark staff who put this evening together, it was a home run. I also got a chance to see and say thank you to all the people who put the movies and shows together, from start to finish. It was great to see and hug our family of actors too, because usually we only see each other on a film set. I’m so proud to be part of the Hallmark brand. I felt like Cinderella last night, but I was glad to kick off my heels and put my sneakers back on during the ride home. And… look who was waiting for me when I got home. My latest senior rescue, Tinker Bell. She’s 5 pounds, 15 years old, deaf and almost completely blind. She also can’t use her back right leg very well because a car ran her over. But she’s safe with me now, and she completely is the Queen of the house. Awww. She sends her love to you too. Happy New year!!! 🎉🥳🍾 I think one of the neatest things about our crazy little smartphones and computers (and social media) is having an instant photo album at your finger tips to look back on whenever you like. Like most of us around this time of year, I’ve been scrolling through enjoying seeing familiar faces, beautiful memories and reflecting back on the past twelve months with gratitude, celebrating both the gains and the many changes that came along. 2022 was certainly a year to remember. Today we honor and say THANK YOU to the Veterans of this country, past and present. You are heroes, and we are a grateful nation. This year I have the incredible honor of not only meeting and spending time with some of our brave vets, but I will also have the honor of flying in this Huey helicopter for a #VeteransDay parade. Our Chief Pilot and Crew Chief flew this Huey during the Vietnam War, (this particular one was one of the longest serving helicopters in the Vietnam War). In 2003, they found the shell of the chopper in a scrap metal heap at the Sacramento Sheriff. It was fully restored to its 1968-1972 combat configuration during the war. This iconic helicopter is now a flying “museum” and, according to Vertical Magazine, the most impeccably maintained helicopters they have ever seen! We will also be joined by Torque –who has the most Huey flying hours of any dog in history! I know this will be an adventure of a lifetime, especially getting to be with and honor these veterans who served. (And I’m so glad to be able to honor the four-legged veterans as well). Thank you to all of you who have served and sacrificed for our country. You put your lives on the line for us, and you do not hear or feel our gratitude nearly enough.
