Today I was a volunteer – mainly driving folk to the polls. Helping the elderly, the disabled mainly. Met some lovely folk and boy do I have some stories. I’m hoping my borough will see sense, but mainly seeing everyone get out to vote is an absolute joy. ♥️

I’ve started to practice TM (Transcendental Meditation) again, after a 20 year gap. I meditate twice a day for 20 minutes.,My dog Button has taken to lying on my feet when I meditate. The effect on both of us is palpable. I am sleeping. I am clear. Just had to say.
Seriously how could anyone vote Tory after the last 14 year shit show? Don’t forget the corruption of the PPE scandal. The cronies, the damage done. So many people needlessly died. I want a party that believes in public service. The Tories believe in lining their own pockets. They are disgusting. Also fed up with people saying they don’t want a Labour majority – why not that’s what the Tories had. Change and don’t forget to vote.

In the middle of listening to the wonderful audiobook by #jillhalfpenny. I hope she doesn’t mind the audio on this post. (If you know you know). Last year was a year of death for me and Jill’s story is a heartbreaking, beautiful, truthful, clear journey through her grief. It’s an important book. In our modern world we don’t really know how to deal with death and Jill’s simple, direct, honest and truthful writing is so helpful. I thank her for the generosity of sharing her story. What an incredible thing to do. As Carrie Fisher said “turn your broken heart into art”. ♥️❤️♥️
