Shoutout to our make-up team! Our looks are such a huge part of our success here, and they take our visions and help bring them to life even in crunch time! You guys see us in the ring but what you don’t see is how everything comes together and the many hands that contribute! This is such an amazing/fun (well in the moment for me stressful) process, but our makeup team always stands on business! I told them I wanted to be a dragon, so with my last minute notice to them they took everything they had on hand and made a creation. Hair: makeup sponges! They cut them up, sprayed them with hairspray, sprinkled them with glitter, and hair pinned them into my braid! Body scales: they took fishnets, and metallic powder/eyeshadow to create the illusion of scales! This is only a fraction of what was done! Clash at the Castle Jacket made by: ME It’s the details for me and the fact I did it in about an hour… had no idea what I was doing or wanted to do and just started throwing stuff together! And I turned into a MF’n DRAGON 🔥🔥 What would y’all name my lil dragon?! Details below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ So let’s get into this gear and jacket. So, it was a distaster trying to find fabric for this gear. One thing about being in a tag team is its not just about you anymore… also you have to know what your opponents are wearing and respectfully you try to stay away from it…ALSO IM NOT trying to be like anybody else. So BOOM! I find fabric… and NOPE somebody already is doing it! So on the search we go again but at this point we are 4 days away from flying out so options are thin! But THANK YA JESUS WE FIND A FABRIC THAT WILL COME IN TIME! We find a beautiful purple/green metallic scale fabric…. It gets delivered… I opened it… and WOMP WOMP the fabric is dull and just looks black… AND I HATE IT! Epic Fail! So, at this point I am already mentally defeated! I started the gear telling my Husband “this gear is about to be trash… I don’t even know how to spice this up”… so I decide Ima be a DRAGON and I’ma just have to work some magic with the jacket! I find this beautiful metallic toy dragon online. I have NO IDEA what I am going to do with it, I find some interestign black fabric and some colorful jewels and chains to try to spice this basic dull fabric up and I get to work ✂️🧵🪡 I made a top… hated it… started over… but once I got rolling I never stopped! I made the gear in a day and the jacket in about an hour or 2! I stepped back after I was finished and was like whoa! I have no idea how this started or ended but here we are!
