Cream Cheese Grits
Ingredients:
1 cups quick-cooking grits
2 cups milk
4 ounces cream cheese (veggie cream cheese also works really well)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil or butter to serve
Chives to garnish
Instructions:
In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Slowly whisk in quick-cooking grits, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook the grits, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes or until they have thickened.
Add the cream cheese to the grits, and continue to stir until it’s fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with olive or or butter and chives. Enjoy! | Posted on 12/Mar/2024 05:19:34
