Easier said than done, I know… Strange that a simple phrase can be so challenging to grasp at times. What does it mean to believe in yourself? How might one do that? It’s hard when we live in a society that doesn’t celebrate us for being one’s self, as if we are meant to fit some invisible/ idealized mold to be deemed accepted in society. Where we hide the truth of who we are or try to change in order to fit it. For what? To fit in where? We are not made like anyone else so why must we continue to try to be like anyone else when we are meant to stand out? When we are created as beautifully unique individuals with 80 trillion unique cells in our bodies. All that said… I think believing in one’s self is being in full celebration of the magic and uniqueness that is all of us. It is a belief in your unique gifts and talents and all of your quirks. Loving both the light and the dark parts of one’s self, knowing that all of it makes up the brilliance and color of you. It is trusting that you are strong and capable of making it through anything.
