Grief Update: I am definitely an introverted extrovert now…so when I have this kind of quiet moment in the midst of a big night, the one thing that’s kept me feeling less alone is knowing so many people have experienced what this feels like. To lose a parent. The team you DON’T want to be picked for. I guess most confusing for me is the fact that there are also blessings, happiness and silver linings. In getting these special moments to cheer on friends and watch their magic, I’m reminded I got to share some magic with my Dad. He got to watch my dreams come true when I left corporate life, and I thank god he was there for it. (Then I cry). All of this to say…if you’re new to the club, you aren’t alone. And if you’ve been here a while, thank you for sharing your heart with me. 🤍

Yesterday we closed BEACHES, and it was my first Father’s Day without him. Today marks 8 months since his passing. Universe, you tricky bitch. Anyway, I’m so proud of the work we put into this massive beast. It’s been that hardest role to date, and most rewarding. I’m ready for what’s to come, and I’m honored to have had the chance to create this badass, Ms. Cee Cee Bloom, on the stage. To all who traveled far and wide to see it, thank you.
