Kat Von D Instagram – Progress shot of the bathroom penny floor. ALSO, you guys left a ton of questions/comments on my last penny floor post (mostly sweet, but some extremely rude💁🏻♀️) but figured I’d answer some of those here:
•we definitely plan on grouting and then covering with a couple of layers of clear epoxy – so the pennies won’t oxidize, it will be easy to clean, and won’t exude a copper scent.
•the template I am using was not designed for this but works well for it. I’ll try and find where I got it and link it for you guys soon.
•the black pennies: I didn’t paint them, but I did treat them using Liver of Sulfur which smells awful. I do plan on making a full length how-to video to show you guys step by step.
•yes, all the pennies are heads up and facing the same direction because I’m a psycho.
•I don’t know how many pennies total will be used for this project, but this will definitely be the cheapest flooring in our entire house.
•If gluing pennies to my bathroom floor offends you in any way, I highly suggest you unfollow me. And no, it’s not illegal.
