Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came by and visited our black tulip field! I honestly wasn’t expecting that high volume of visitors and it filled my heart seeing people from all over, and all walks of life visit our beloved small town, Vevay! 🥹
So many amazingly talented photographers came and shot professional nature photography, graduation photos, maternity, band photos, children/family/pet portraits and editorial fashion! So inspiring!
NEXT YEAR WE ARE GOING EVEN BIGGER! Because how cool would it be if this turns out to be an annual thing we can all look forward to?! 🖤

The black tulip field is officially in full bloom! 🖤🌷🖤 Been getting lotsa questions, so here are some answers for you:
🖤 Yes! You are totally welcome to come and see them, take photos and enjoy them whenever you’d like! *Please just don’t pick them, a few folks have already started to, and we just wanna let everyone get a chance to enjoy them.
🖤 We kindly ask that you don’t enter the gates to the house though. There’s a ton of construction going on and it’s not open to the public. Thanks for understanding.
🖤 Prior to us getting the inflatable scarecrows, the deer got to a section of tulips, so that’ll explain some of the patches. But next year we plan on expanding and making it even bigger!
🖤 If you do come and take photos, please tag @hellovevay so I can repost you!
It looks like it might rain the next few days, but by Saturday it should start getting nice and sunny! Tulips typically bloom 1-2 weeks, so there’s a nice window to come and see these black beauties and explore our lovely small town if you’d like.

Progress shot of the bathroom penny floor. ALSO, you guys left a ton of questions/comments on my last penny floor post (mostly sweet, but some extremely rude💁🏻♀️) but figured I’d answer some of those here: •we definitely plan on grouting and then covering with a couple of layers of clear epoxy – so the pennies won’t oxidize, it will be easy to clean, and won’t exude a copper scent. •the template I am using was not designed for this but works well for it. I’ll try and find where I got it and link it for you guys soon. •the black pennies: I didn’t paint them, but I did treat them using Liver of Sulfur which smells awful. I do plan on making a full length how-to video to show you guys step by step. •yes, all the pennies are heads up and facing the same direction because I’m a psycho. •I don’t know how many pennies total will be used for this project, but this will definitely be the cheapest flooring in our entire house. •If gluing pennies to my bathroom floor offends you in any way, I highly suggest you unfollow me. And no, it’s not illegal. I’ll post a final reveal once I’m done! Love you! 🖤 #casavond

Took a little trip up the road to see the roaming bison! I’ve been wanting to go see them since I heard about this state park when we first moved here! Other than the $5 ferry ride to cross the Ohio River, this adventure was FREE! We stopped at the micro town of Rabbit Hash, (who’s mayor is a dog named Pablo😹) It reminded me of Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles with it’s “hippy” charm.
