Kelsey Barnard Clark Instagram – Blistered feet bliss after an 18 hour work day. Current thoughts:

I dabbled in food in high school and college but truly started this career officially when I moved to NY for culinary school at 20 years old. I started my first real job at 21, opened my catering company at 23, my first restaurant at 24, my second at 25. At 26 I closed my first – failing restaurant – just a few short months after I got married. Great timing lemme tell ya. At 28 I fully, shaky-knees , invested in the revitalization of my small downtown as we drastically expanded the restaurant ( also que @bravotopchef ). In the meantime, I’ve bought more property, invested more, grown, failed, learned, & started other endeavors. But I can’t tell y’all how much of this time I’ve spent feeling like a total failure.

And now, at 35, I feel like I’m finally hitting my stride, and working towards my dream career. Lesson learned – you’re never too old to start over and it really is never too late. | Posted on 14/Jul/2024 19:21:08
