As a doctor, I welcome every opportunity to share any medical advice that may help people, whether that’s in A&E or reaching a wider audience. Today, I was thrilled to be on @thismorning once again to talk about how to spot signs that a rash may be a concern. In this snippet, I outline how rashes can be difficult to see on darker skin tones, often leading to delayed treatment and poorer outcomes. When looking for signs of scarlet fever, the rash can be raised and feel rough like sandpaper. Your GP should be the first port of call if you notice these symptoms and, if it gets worse, you should always go to A&E. Thanks so much to @dermotoleary and @alisonhammond55 for having me on.

Getting positive results for local people is one of the highlights of my work as an MP. This week, I was able to get a local Furzedown resident over £12,000 in back payment from the Department for Work and Pensions. This is a fantastic win for someone who was struggling with the rising cost of living and I’m incredibly pleased to have been able to help out. My door is always open and I will never stop working hard for people in our area.
