India de Beaufort Instagram - If you follow my stories you know I got a bunch of leather scraps at #savmorleather in Downtown LA, I used them to make this leather corset! (Process video coming ) Sav Mor is AWESOME, these scraps were $3.50 per pound, this corset doesn’t even weigh a pound so technically it cost LESS THAN $3.50??! The grommets and ribbon were leftovers from another project. Important things to note, don’t go to Sav Mor alone. The street is as sketchy as it gets, and the unmarked grey door for sure doesn’t help things BUT once you get inside it’s TREMENDOUS and the staff are incredible and will offer to walk you to your car when you’re done. I can’t take credit for this find, it was all @lexi.ps and her mumma @jahome.leather who makes custom leather treasures. Check her out! I have post partum depression, take antidepressants, get social anxiety, cannot keep my car clean to save my life and have to organize everything into oblivion just to hold back how messy I would be if I didn’t. I’m fiercely loyal, rely on a calculator for basic math, don’t find it easy to make close friends and thanks to my son the chances of me peeing when I sneeze are very high. The first part of this year was packed with lessons and loss and now, I think I’m happier than I’ve been in a long long time. I always kinda thought what I think most people think… that lingerie is for the birds and the bees. I was wrong. It’s for you. And there are so many companies making stunning lingerie collections for every body type and budget. It’s all about your comfort level. If you’d like to experiment a little, keep your eyes peeled for lingerie that makes your heart flutter. Start looking for specific colors you wear the most. Imagine the bra under a white button down with jeans and a heel in a complimentary color. Then start switching it up, playing with opacity and print. Try different shapes and cuts. Find the fit that gives you the support you need, and the feeling you want. If your style leans more modest, wear it just for you. I found an uncut bang topper that’s slightly lighter than my hair color and took it to my stylist @nikkipittam at @harperonmelrose and Nikki dyed the topper with the exact same dye we just used to cover my greys. She chopped the topper to fit my face / current hair cut and then I took em home and styled em up and whammy! They’re amazing! India de Beaufort Instagram - When I found this dress the bottom half was ruined. Holes, stains and discoloration but the top half was stunning and I couldn’t let her go. I found some white chiffon at @moodfabrics and dyed it as close as I could to match the existing fabric and then took it to my tailor. A classic feature of many 30’s dresses is the V shape seam below the torso so we chopped the original and inserted the new fabric with a V seam which gave us the ability to play and add volume and a small train, all cut on the bias ( as are most designs of this era ). I’ve never worn her. I’ve been saving her for something really special. But I love that sharing her here at least means she gets to be seen. Today they received a season three pick up. Knowing and loving them as I do, I am beyond overjoyed for the most deserving people I know. I will miss the honor of being in their brilliant company, but my god. That was fun. My time at Night Court has come to an end. I owe a great thanks to NBC, WB, After January Productions and our Writers / Producers / Directors / Cast and Crew for two incredible years. I found some white chiffon at @moodfabrics and dyed it as close as I could to match the existing fabric and then took it to my tailor. A classic feature of many 30’s dresses is the V shape seam below the torso so we chopped the original and inserted the new fabric with a V seam which gave us the ability to play and add volume and a small train, all cut on the bias ( as are most designs of this era ). I’ve never worn her. I’ve been saving her for something really special. But I love that sharing her here at least means she gets to be seen.
