After an intense 7 weeks without a favourable weather window to summit Nanga Parbat at 8156m, @mike_d_arnold carefully considered all options but ultimately decided to return home. “David on the other hand had the fire burning to stay.”
However, at 7550m David was obligated to turn back. “This mountain has tested me for longer and more often than any other mountain. Twice in winter and twice in summer I have tried to climb it, but so far, I’ve not yet made it to the top.”
