The other day, someone asked me what @nicotortorella is like as a dad and I instantly felt overwhelmed with all the words and no words at all. Watching the birth of Nico as a father has been one of the greatest gifts of parenthood. Equal amounts playful and comforting. He has figured out how to soothe our baby back to sleep, how to comfort her when she falls, how to challenge her to try new things, how to keep her entertained when pregnant mommy is fully tapped out. Since Kilmer has been born, we’ve been given the gift of time. Both of us have been home and while that has come with its own set of challenges, I’ll be forever grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to witness the birth of a father.
NEW MUSIC ALERT! I can’t believe this is real. I make music now. And my first album ‘Born.’ is coming very soon. From the moment we discovered Kilmer Dove was on her way, my journey into music deepened. This album, ‘Born.’ is my heart and soul laid bare, tracing the path of fatherhood through lyric and melody. It’s been a spiritual awakening, a technical challenge, a creation from conception to gestation to birth. This. Is. Born. As I prepare to share this new body of work with the world, I feel reborn myself—transformed by the journey of parenthood. The eclipse is already eclipsing. ‘Grapefruit,’ my first single, drops 3.29, setting the stage for the full album release on 4.26. This is more than music; it’s a diary of becoming a father, a new chapter I’m thrilled to share. Join me on this adventure—preorder available now. Links in bio. Special thanks to my producer @abeseiferth – my music manager @mkcherryboom – the man behind the photo @bronson.photo – my wife @bethanycmeyers and the reason for it all – Kilmer Dove

Happy birthday to me. Birth is not just the beginning of life; it is the genesis of everything we are and everything we will become. It marks the moment we enter this world, screaming, gasping for air, fighting to survive. It’s raw, powerful, and beautiful. To be is to be born. After that? It’s up to us to figure out how to truly live. I love you. Swipe for a picture of my identical twin Kilmer Dove.

‘LAST SUMMER’ – Official Music Video – Out Now Releasing this video feels like a moment of divine timing. Of God. I wrote ‘Last Summer’ in August 2022, during a crazy emotional period. After the heartache of a miscarriage, we found out we were expecting again. It was a time of healing, yearning, and unexpected creativity. I was at my parents’ house in Florida with a classical guitar I found at Goodwill, and the lyrics and melodies poured out. Reflecting on our last season as a family of two before welcoming Kilmer Dove, this song is the essence of transition—from the life we knew to the wild adventures awaiting as parents. Time has looped back on itself, and here we are transformed into a family of three, with the fourth on the way, thriving in Florida’s perpetual summer. My brother @rocco_tortorella came down to visit and we set out to capture this music video for my debut album ‘Born.’ Rocco, your talent in capturing these moments is astounding. This project feels like a mirror to our past and a celebration of our expanding family. On these Atlantic shores where we once envisioned our future, we now stand with a deeper understanding, our lives a testament to the beautiful cycle of renewal. Constantly shifting, evolving, expanding, our journey is a living echo of LAST SUMMER. I am madly in love with this family we’ve built. Bethany, your strength and ability to hold space is unmatched. Kilmer, you are the reason for it all. And to our baby on the way, you are already loved beyond measure. Listen, our family thrives in its beautiful chaos, but here’s our promise to you: through it all, forever and always, ALL OF IT IS YOU. Now let’s go write you some new songs. I love you. 📷 by @rocco_tortorella Full album ‘Born’ available everywhere now – links in bio.
🔻🔺 Posting this video again as I sit at the Los Angeles airport, missing my family deeply after a week apart. In a burst of inspiration, I wrote “La Santa Madre” in our basement, the lyrics and melodies unfolding in just 40 minutes. It felt as though a divine presence guided me, speaking through me in a language all its own. When I shared it with Bethany, we were both astounded. This song, a tribute to the divine feminine—the creation, our home base, the origin and destination—seemed predestined. As if foretelling Kilmer’s arrival, it filled the air with magic months before she was born. And once again as she emerged. The night Kilmer was born transformed us. We see more, know more, are more. Each time I watch this video, I am increasingly impressed with Bethany’s ability to hold space and persevere through it all. We have evolved—our love, our growth, and our shared existence are a testament to what we’ve become. This song stands out in my album Born. It had to be either the opening or the closing track, embodying source energy in motion, a divine timing that transcends the ordinary. Now, as we anticipate the arrival of our next child this October, a new excitement fills me, urging me to create new music. To perform live. To get my shit in order. My life has a renewed urgency; I’m restructuring to ensure I’m surrounded by the best support in every aspect—work, birth, family, art, friendship. This week has proven to be just that. Urgent. I’ve accomplished more in the last 5 days than I have all year. I’m so fucking excited for the next chapter. As I board my flight home, all I can think of is the joy of holding these two tomorrow. Bethany, your strength and power are unmatched. I can’t wait to come kiss that growing belly of yours. And Kilmer, daddy’s coming home soon. I promise. If you have 10 minutes to spare, watch this video. It will change something in you. Every time we watch it, we grow closer. As Mother’s Day fast approaches, know that I see you. Y’all are it. Happy Mother’s Day whoever you are. Wherever you are. I love you. Viva La Santa Madre
