He wasn’t just an incredible songwriter who could channel Rachmaninoff while rocking out like Pete Townshend. He was a mentor to me. A best friend, father figure, and big brother all rolled into one.
It’s been a month since you’ve passed and I still can’t believe I’ll never hear your wonderful storytelling, words of wisdom and encouragement, or your infectious cackle. I was truly honored to play at your memorial. Your beautiful wife Amy honored you in the absolute best way possible. It was a beautiful tribute to a beautiful human being.
