Paul Sidoti Instagram – I recently watched the documentary I Am @celinedion and what dawned on me is how fast time is flying by.. It seems lately things that were once in our rear view mirror, are now distant memories.. It made me think back to the year 1992 when I was asked to perform with a group at the Cleveland Undercurrents Showcase playing keyboards.. Ric Holloway was part of the band and brought me in.. I was all of 21 years old and a fellow by the name of James Tate sang “Beauty and The Beast” as a duet.. At one point, he asked Ric if I was able to learn the keyboard part.. He told James that not only could I learn it, but I had the actual synth and sound they used on the recording which would authenticate it.. (Roland JD-800 Crystal Rhodes for the musicians out there :)) Ric was older and by him going to bat for me, he gave me tremendous confidence in a room full of strangers.. I can’t tell you how many instances like this molded me along my journey and I’d just like to thank Ric for the opportunity and support.. Love this song and every time I listen to it, I can still picture learning and playing every note of it.. And Celine, my heart breaks to see what you’ve had to endure but we are all in your corner anxiously awaiting your return to that magnificent stage.. ☺️❤️🎤 | Posted on 12/Aug/2024 06:50:04
