Thanks for this. A few questions however:

Why do you have no customer service humans available to speak to?

Spent all morning trying to communicate with your robots and am repeatedly told they don’t recognize my account number ā€˜because we changed all our account numbers in April to shorter numbers which all start with an 8’.

Yet this disconnection notice sent to me yesterday ( July) clearly shows an account number starting with a 7. Therefore even the website your bots keep sending me to is useless because my account number is not recognized. ( And no, adding an 8 at the front of this number doesn’t work either)

So I can’t even pay a minimum to avoid disconnection, I can’t talk to a human, the bots are insane and keep repeating themselves ( my fave bit is when they give up and say ā€˜thank you, goodbye!’ šŸ˜‚) and it’s literally impossible to contact you.

I live with my two children, 10 and 14 for whom I bear sole responsibility. You are disconnecting our service on Monday, which means we lose access to lighting, air conditioning, internet, phone charging, ( we have no landline) refrigeration, water heating and all the other life-dependent services that as of course you know, electricity provides.

Your CEO Steven D Powell reportedly receives over $3 million a year in pay and bonuses. My monthly bill is usually over $400, despite the fact that me and my children are as judicious as we could possibly be with our usage. I checked with neighbors and their bills are similar, so it’s really not like we don’t pay you enough for the service you provide. ( But since SCE is monopoly in my neighborhood I’m sure you are aware of that😊)

So why can’t I speak to a real person? What do we do on Monday when we lose service?

Genuinely asking. I checked Reddit and other forum social networks and I’m definitely not the only one with this problem. I’m asking you via social media because a) it’s my last resort and b) my reach may be wider than others in the same situation and hopefully this may help them too.

Please advise.
