Amanda Palmer Instagram – Swipe through. Who knows what we were talking about here at @gravesidevariety but it looks…important.

A big reason I wanted to start this patron-powered venue in Woodstock, NY was to bring powerful women and their art and conversations into real-time flesh space. Look at this posse, cmon. Photographed at our recent fundraiser by fabulous @bluenote27. From left to right: cabaret star @rizo.love, moi, surging songwriter @ameliaallen221 and pianist, writer, producer and half of @gracieandrachel, @graciecoates.

Not shown here but mega powering up this venue: @insta_grammaticas, @hollymiranda, @rypiet, @somethingeffulgent, @zibby.jahns and @saradahanzie.

We have THREE WEEKS left in this gorgeous space before we MOVE!! 💃We are relocating down the street and will hopefully re-open with a new name in the spring. Come to an event, ANY EVENT, and see what all the fuss has been about before we shutter!!

Notable coming up: I’ve got a nearly sold out solo show on May 26th!

@luis.mojica.music had a sold out show May 11th.

Holly and Gracie (@gollypresents) have a duo show on May 25th. Our last PARTY AROUND A PIANO singalong with @lance_horne on May 19th (it’s gonna be LIT) and YAY I’m partnering up with my local indie bookstore @goldennotebookbookstore for an author conversation series!

May 12 – I’ll be talking with Elizabeth Lesser (@elizlesser), bestselling author of “Cassandra Speaks” and “Broken Open”. We will discuss divorce, survival, and how to make decisions when deciding how much truth to tell, to whom and discuss how truth in art can help and harm. Songs will be useful.🎶

May 18 – I’ll be talking with Katherine Yeske Taylor (@kyt_in_nyc), author of the just-out “She’s a Badass: Women in Rock Shaping Feminism”, featuring a load of great artists. I might ask her to do a mini song-exploder with me. There’s a piano, after all.🎹

June 1 – I’ll be talking with Leslie Jamison, bestselling author of “The Recovering” and the new searingly honest memoir “Splinters”. This is going to be … something. I might play her some new dolls songs.🔥

All events will have books for sale and signings and Q&A.
